Delivery and Returns Policy

All definitions used in the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy shall be
given their same meaning and interpreted accordingly in the following document. In this
document “you” means any person that has purchased the Products from the website and
“Working Days” shall be construed as a reference to a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday)
on which the banks are generally open for business in Ireland.

DELIVERY

1. General:

1.1 Malting Company of Ireland engages fully insured couriers, to get your Product
delivered on time anywhere in Ireland or the UK.

1.2 Once you have placed an order on this site you will receive an Order Confirmation
detailing your purchase.

1.3 It is our policy to dispatch your order within 2 Working Days if delivery is within
Ireland and 3 if delivery is to the UK. However, whenever possible we will send
orders next day subject to stock levels.

1.4 You are responsible for providing the correct address, telephone number and postal
code and must be available to take delivery of all ordered Products either in person or
through an authorised assignee.

1.5 All orders require a contact phone number, and all deliveries require a signature.

1.6 Orders placed after 12 noon Friday and on Saturday and Sunday, will be dispatched by
the following Tuesday.

1.7 If you require urgent delivery please contact us and we shall endeavour to
accommodate you.

 

2. Delay of delivery:

2.1 In the event that all or part of your order is not available, we shall notify you by email/phone
as soon as possible. We will attempt to keep you regularly updated on any
items ordered that are likely to be on back order for more than 4 days.

2.2 Delivery dates are estimates only and we are unable to accept any liability for failure
to deliver the Products within the specified time resulting from shipment/delivery
delays from our suppliers.

2.3 For delays of more than 28 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we
will refund any money paid by you for the Products, including any delivery charges.
We will endeavour to deliver Products within the times stated but any dates we specify
are approximate only and we will not be held liable for any delay or failure to achieve
any delivery or other date.

2.4 The occurrence of a case of Force Majeure automatically leads to the order being
suspended and the delivery times being postponed without any compensation in
favour of you.

2.5 We will not take responsibility for a Product that is damaged or spoiled due to an
incorrect delivery address being given by you.

 

3. Undeliverable orders:

3.1 If the order is deemed undeliverable or you cannot be reasonably identified or located
or refuse delivery, Malting Company of Ireland shall use reasonable efforts to refund
any payment made less any delivery charges and applicable return costs charged by
the carriers, failing which the order may be released and subsequently sold by Malting
Company of Ireland without incurring any liability whatsoever to the recipient or
anyone else.

 

4. Non-delivery:

4.1 Please notify us within 3 days from the expected delivery date of a non-delivery.
Notifications shall be made by email to us at info@maltingcompany.ie.

 

5. Call ahead service:

5.1 On your delivery day, our courier will call-ahead to let you know when to expect your
delivery. It is your sole responsibility to be available to take this call.

 

6. Accepting Delivery:

6.1 Products can be delivered throughout Ireland and the UK; all deliveries must be
signed for so please ensure someone is available. Delivery is between 9am and 5pm
Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays).

6.2 We cannot provide a specific delivery time to customers as it depends solely on each
individual couriers’ schedule.

6.3 We do NOT deliver to PO boxes. All items are sent by reputable couriers, including
DPD and PRL Group. The delivery address must be an address within Ireland or the
UK.

6.4 You are required to inspect any Products that we deliver to you or that you collect
from Malting Company of Ireland, to ensure you are completely satisfied with the
Products, including that the Products are of acceptable quality, and match the
description we have provided to you.

6.5 You are required to check all deliveries for any damage prior to signing, as once
signed for in good condition, you will then become the owner of the items and Malting
Company of Ireland will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

6.6 You will be required to note any damage on the delivery documentation which is
presented to you by the carrier for signature. In all other cases you will be required to
notify us in writing by emailing info@maltingcompany.ie of any damage on delivery
or shortages within 24 hours of delivery. We will not be liable for any damage on
delivery to any of the Products unless we are notified within the time period specified
above.

6.7 Please notify us immediately if any incorrectly supplied Products have been sent to
you. It is your responsibility to inform us at info@maltingcompany.ie within 24 hours
of delivery if any item has been incorrectly supplied.

6.8 Proof of delivery of Products shall be good evidence of delivery of the specific
Products as requested by you and no question shall be raised as to delivery of
individual items therein.

6.9 We send all our Products by courier. Delivery will be made to the address specified on
the completed order form but not necessarily to the individual named thereon. It is
your responsibility to arrange the necessary equipment or man power required in order
to move the Products to the desired place.

6.10 You must advise at the time you place your order via the website of any difficulties
that may be involved in the delivery (such as narrow entries). If you do not state the
situation correctly and on arrival the delivery contractor deems it to be a difficult
location you will be liable for any extra charges including redelivery fees.

 

7. Delivery Cost

7.1 The appropriate delivery costs will be specified in the order and shall be covered by
you, unless otherwise agreed with Malting Company of Ireland in writing. Delivery
costs depend on the Product, the order value and the locality of the delivery. The exact
delivery costs will be brought to your attention before you place your order.

 

RETURNS

Returns Policy

1. General:

1.1 This returns policy (the “Returns Policy”) only applies where you make a purchase
online from the Website.

1.2 We recommend you read the Returns Policy prior to making a purchase from the
Website, so you are familiar with our policy on refunds, returns and your legal rights
and remedies.

1.3 You can amend an order provided we receive notice of your wish to amend before
Dispatch Confirmation is sent to you. If you wish to amend your order please contact

number.

 

2. Returning an Unwanted Product

Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights)
Regulations 2013 no cooling-off period applies to perishable products bought by you
as a consumer. Given that the Products are of a perishable nature, any Products
ordered by you as a consumer cannot be returned to Malting Company of Ireland
unless faulty and/or damaged.

3. Faulty Products

3.1 If a Product arrives damaged or with defects, or is not what you ordered, a full refund
of the value of the Products will be made provided you return the Product to us within
2 days.

3.2 Any damages or defects must first be reported to us by e-mail to
info@maltingcompany.ie within 24 hours.

3.3 If you exercise the right to return under Clause 3.1, Malting Company of Ireland will
reimburse you to an amount equivalent to the cost of the least expensive type of
standard delivery offered by Malting Company of Ireland.

3.4 All Products should be returned to Malting Company of Ireland, The Maltings, South
Link, Togher, Cork.

3.5 Damaged or defective Products must be returned in the condition received by you with
all original packaging, accessories and/or manuals. You may be asked to provide
evidence of the damaged Products if damaged in transit.

3.6 Please make sure damaged or defective Products are securely packaged to avoid
damage in transit.

3.7 Returns are processed within 3 days of us receiving the Products back from you.
Please allow 6 for refunds to show on your account. We’ll refund you by the same
method as payment (i.e. credit card, debit card or credit account).

3.8 Any Product that is soiled and/or damaged by you will not be refunded and any such
returned Products will be resent back to the original delivery address.
