Maltings Manager
Colm Cahill, a native of Cork City, is the MCI Maltings Manager. He commenced his career with the company in 1992, amassing over three decades of rich and diverse experience within the malting industry. Colm is known for his results-driven approach. He ensures that the operations run smoothly on a daily basis, all while maintaining a commitment to producing malt of the highest quality.
A graduate of University College Cork and the Irish Management Institute his academic qualifications support his extensive malting experience. Beyond his career, he is a passionate supporter of both Liverpool Football Club and his hometown team, Cork City FC. Everyone at MCI is proud of his recent accomplishment in completing the Ring of Kerry Cycle on behalf of Breakthrough Cancer Research.

Senior Manufacturing Manager
Michael joined the Malting Company of Ireland in August 2024 as the Senior Manufacturing Manager, where he oversees production and maintenance operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives. He has extensive experience across various industries and has held leadership roles at prominent companies such as Stryker, Raízen, and Greif Packaging.
In these positions, he successfully led teams and implemented strategies to enhance operational performance. Michael is skilled in production management, maintenance, continuous improvement, and project management. Born and raised in Brazil, Michael holds several credentials, including a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a Master’s degree in Technology Innovation, an MBA in Project Management, and a degree in Production Engineering. He is passionate about developing talent, fostering team engagement, and achieving results.
